This November, the Henri Nouwen Society Book Club will turn to Letters to Marc About Jesus, a deeply personal and heartfelt collection of reflections in which Henri shares his insights on following Christ with honesty, courage, and love. Written as letters to his dear friend Marc, these pages offer gentle guidance on encountering Jesus in everyday life and responding to God’s call with openness and trust.
Throughout the month, we’ll explore Henri’s intimate reflections on prayer, faith, and discipleship, discovering how his words continue to speak into our own spiritual journeys. Each letter invites us to consider how God’s love moves in the midst of ordinary routines, challenges, and moments of stillness. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect, discuss, and connect with a global community of readers who share a desire to grow closer to Christ on Zoom.
Our book club provides a welcoming space for thoughtful conversation, guided reflection questions, and shared insights, helping each participant engage deeply with Henri’s timeless wisdom. Whether this is your first encounter with Henri Nouwen or a return to his writing, we would be delighted to have you join us for this reflective journey.
Together, we will explore how Jesus meets us in our everyday lives and learn to respond with love, faith, and courage—just as Henri sought to do in his letters to Marc.
