Absence is Not Destructive

When the place where God dwells in you is intimately connected with the place where God dwells in the other, the absence of the other person is not destructive. On the contrary, it will challenge you to enter more deeply into communion with God, the source of all unity and communion among people.

“But I tell you the truth: it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.”

- John 16:7

Reflection Question: How can I cultivate a deeper communion with God so that the absence of others strengthens rather than diminishes my sense of connection and love?
