More About this Book
This is the published journal of Henri Nouwen written during a sabbatical between 1995 and 1996. It was published posthumously as Nouwen died in September 1996 just as his sabbatical was ending. The foreword is written by Sister Sue Mosteller, Henri Nouwen’s executrix. Mosteller edited the journal for publication after Nouwen’s death.
“Sabbatical Journey is utterly simple, outlining Henri’s thoughts and activities on the final lap of his journey home. His beliefs about the journey and the home are scattered thoughtout, witnessing to his life-long desire and struggle to live his vocation by his ever-growing, every-changing faith in God. This testimony alone renders it a precious record.” (Sue Mosteller in the Introduction).
