Life of the Beloved: getting started
Welcome, everybody, to this online reading group! I am your moderator, Ed Wojcicki. Each week you will get a brief summary of the chapters we are reading, and you will find these summaries on the right side of this web site, in the brown section, under “Pages.” The first summary is there now. Note that we will be discussing pages 9-33 this week. On Tuesday or Wednesday of this week, I will post the first two discussion questions.
To participate you have to register. Do so by clicking on the “Register” link at the bottom of the “Pages” section. All we need is an email address, basically. It’s easy.
You can also get started in this discussion NOW by telling us a little about yourself. You have to scroll down slightly, below this post, to get to the part about sharing about yourself. I encourage your participation. You can always write me privately: edwoj54@gmail.com if you have a special comment or question.

Hi, my name is Mary Louise and I will be 72 years old in a couple of months. I am active, and I have three grown married children with four grandchildren. I also have many friends and consider myself very lucky to have so many friends.
I went to college when I was 42 years old as I had never been. My Major was Art and I enjoyed it so much. As I was about to complete my Major I added a Business Major to it also. I had a wonderful time with children the same ages as my children. I felt like I was a kid in a candy shop each time a new bulletin came out for the next semester. So many things to choose from. One summer I took a writing course and loved it. I have been writing or journaling ever since. I also took many on line courses since then and have learned so many things. Plus the discussions that came out of those courses proved so inspirational. I made so many friends from those courses.
I look forward to interacting with everyone though this on line discussion of Henri Nouwen book. Thanks
