I am so happy to be a part of this reading group. Hats of to Maureen Wright who worked so hard to get me hooked up.
I have been reading Henri Nouwen for many years….He has been like a spiritual director, who follows up on the sessions I have with my own dear director.
Life of the Beloved is a beautiful book. It is tempting us all to open to the idea of calling ourselves The Beloved.
Let us pray for one another, knowing that God wants us all to know how much we are loved.

I look forward to this discussion and yet am a bit apprehensive about keeping up with the reading because of other commitments. My ministry is one of pastoral care, particularly around the aged and palliative care. For the past two years it has largely been on a volunteer basis because I looked after my aged father. I have not read this book and look forward to doing so.
