Organization of the Blog

Anyone who has had the pleasure of being in a class with Henri Nouwen is well aware of the fact that Henri was a wise man of few words. A class reading under Henri’s tutelege was what can only be described as “embarrassingly short”. Likewise, most of Henri’s books can easily be read in a single evening if not a single hour.

So it is with Henri’s little book, The Spirituality of Fund-Raising. While short on content, it is—like many of Henri’s works—steeped in short phrases that hold pearls of wisdom for those of us who view fund-raising as both a ministry and a career.

Following Henri’s example both as a teacher and a writer, it is our desire to keep the organization of the blog as simple as possible. To this end, each category will begin with 1-2 short quotes from a chapter of The Spirituality of Fund-Raising followed by whatever question (or two) might come to mind. Every week or two another quote (and question) will unfold.

Yes, it is as simple as that. Do, however, feel free to make things more complicated by adding your words of wisdom to the mix.
