I just finished reading “Home Tonight,” and am filled with so many emotions… above all, gratitude for this man’s incredible life and willingness to share his journey, with its high and lows and profound spiritual insights. I relate on so many levels (as I know we all do), and his words have affected me more deeply than I can describe here. I, too, have been influenced and touched deeply by Rembrandt’s paintings… but I never knew of the artist’s immense personal losses until now - losses which I share and from which I have also found a deeper faith and understanding. What a beautiful tapestry our Lord has woven which binds us over time and distance and whispers the same, eternal message of Love and Home. Henri’s books are a vital conduit for that message, and God’s Light shines through every page. In fact, I have given copies of “The Return of the Prodigal Son” to many friends, and this ’sequel’ will now join that gift. THANK YOU for making these beautiful and blessed writings available!

Originally read The Return of the Prodigal Son as supplemental to Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius… two years ago… and my experience from the book was profound. That experience ended up being my overriding spiritual exercise. Purchased Home Tonight as an attempt to extend the journey. Now I feel the Lord calling me to open myself and explore the inspiration to create a retreat experience around the 2 books. I don’t want to “recreate the wheel” if someone (including Henri himself) has already done that.

I came to this sight searching for some guidance, some structure to the idea of retreat based on the books, if there already is one. Please contact me!!

Home Again is keeping me through a dark, difficult time. I would love to talk w/more people who have had this experience. The journaling, Henri’s insights…all of it….are giving me hope for freedom from judging myself and accepting the woman God has made (me) “as is.”
