Why now?

There is a burgeoning crisis in the world today. With increasing affluence there is not only a growing gap between rich and poor, but also a spreading poverty of spirit and loss of communal identity. People want to have hope but they don't know how to find it. There are currently many possible spiritual paths available to citizens in the West. All too often, these paths overemphasize individual healing, empowerment, salvation, or enlightenment and do not show us how to create a sustainable community that invites participation by all its citizens.
