Henri Nouwen's Legacy Lives On!
Commemorating the birth of Henri J.M. Nouwen

Nearly 50 people gathered at St. Rose of Lima Parish, Northborough, MA for an afternoon of reflection titled: “A Spirituality of Hope: Embracing Joy & Weakness Through the life of Henri Nouwen” on the January 24th, the anniversary of Henri’s birth. Ernie Rivard (who is pastoral assistant at St. Rose, the former retreat director of Calvary Retreat Center and Nouwen Society friend) led the enthusiastic group in prayer, review of the film “Journey of the Heart: the life of Henri Nouwen,” discussion, and a presentation on the life of Nouwen as a source of hope. Many were moved by Henri’s honesty, passion, and deep faith. Through his example they found reason for hope in their own lives and insights for their own spiritual journeys.
