New Book on Henri Nouwen: God's Beloved

Orbis Books has now published God's Beloved: A Spiritual Biography of Henri Nouwen by Michael O'Laughlin. This book, written by Nouwen's teaching assistant at Harvard, takes up and advances some of the most important questions involved in the Nouwen legacy. To understand him better the author examines his origins in Holland and his training there and in the US during a time of great change. Then he bravely explores Nouwen's psychology and writes an inspiring chapter on his artistic way of doing theology.
